‘Damage, Healing’ Experimental Card Goes Live On Overwatch

Blizzard Entertainment’s latest Overwatch experimental card that focused on damage and healing outputs officially went live yesterday, August 31. The new update includes all the positive and successful changes from the recent experiments and more.
Overwatch’s dev team noticed that some Damage heroes have become increasingly strong, so reducing damage outputs is necessary. As a result, reducing the healing outputs of some Support heroes came as a secondary priority to create a gaming environment where there’s less damage being dealt. The rest of the changes mostly tackled the ammo clip reductions and shooting speed of some heroes.
The patch is now live across all Overwatch gaming platforms and can be played through Quick Play, Competitive Play, Arcade, and Custom Games. However, the Overwatch League won’t be using the new patch and meta during the playoffs. The previous update earlier this month—where Blizzard nerfed Orisa, Sigma, and Brigitte and buffed Roadhog and Pharah—will go live instead.
