November Experiments Now Live On The Overwatch Latest Patch

The Overwatch development team released a new balance patch this week. The official update includes changes from the experimental card released last November 13. Most notably, the dev team focused on updating Brigitte, Ana, Hanzo, and other popular heroes.

For a general update, the dev team removed the “group up with me” signal. Support heroes no longer need to say “group up with me” when they are missing health or requesting healing.

For champion-specific updates, here are the complete details of all the recent changes, including how they can affect the current state of the game.

Brigitte

  • Base health reduced from 175 to 150

This new update was a reverted buff from the October 29 patch. which increased Brigitte’s health from 150 to 175. According to the developers, the previous update ended up being too powerful when combined with her self-healing and barrier. As a result, Brigitte dominated the meta in recent weeks. The new update will then bring her to a new position with other support heroes in the game.

Ana

Biotic Grenade

  • Projectile now passes through allies with full health

Ana’s Biotic Grenade will now affect allies who have full health, instead of activating on them. This will ultimately impact the effectiveness of Ana’s heal grenades. Players can now have more control and flexibility with the projectile.

Hanzo

Storm Arrows

  • Can now be manually canceled

Hanzo can now manually cancel his Storm Arrows ability. For Hanzo users, you’ll have more control over his kit while in combat.

Mei

Ice Wall

  • Can now be manually destroyed while dead

For another manual shift, Mei can now manually destroy her ice walls while dead. This update will prevent inconvenient situations where teams can’t destroy a wall while a Mei hero is dead.

Moira

Biotic Grasp

  • Healing resource consumption rate lowered from 14 to 12.5

The developers aim to perfectly balance Moira in this update. It has been difficult for players to recharge Moira’s healing pool ever since the September update, so her healing resource consumption rate was adjusted.

Symmetra

Teleporter

  • Can now be manually destroyed while dead

Similar to Moira’s update, Symmetra can now manually destroy her teleporter while dead. This will let teams remove unwanted equipment in team fights when a Symmetra dies.

Torbjorn

Deploy Turret

  • Turret can now be manually destroyed while dead

Torbjorn can now also manually destroy his deployed turret while dead. He can cancel the construction or remove the completed equipment while dead.
